From earth point in the consumer unit to the kitchen/bathroom taps and the gas pipe to the cooker what size should the cable be?
Will 10mm suffice or is that a bit big?

Main equipotential bonding should go from either the consumer unit or MET to as near as practicable where the service enters the building. The size of the equipotential bonding conductors required depends on the type of system and other factors but more often than not, we use 10mm.

What dio you think. And are you sure that you are planning to run to the correct points?

Dam. Not quick enough to entice some clues out of the OP

Sorry buddy,

I'll try and adopt the same clue fishing attitude in future :D

I don't mind helping clarifying or offering a suggestion BUT this is a rather obvious question where the OP should have a grasp of the question and the answer if thy have the OSG, the BGB and some training!

You're right. I am aware now after reading some of the OP's other posts that this is something he should already know or have access to the right literature to find out. I didn't think when I first answered.

Perhaps he’s using my pipe SCA calculation?

π x (Do/2)² - π x (Di/2)² = CSA mm²
Where:
Do = outside diameter
Di = inside diameter

It's a long timr ago

Fer gawds sake what is it with you people.
It was a fairly reasonable question.
I am sorry I asked.
And..................................Thanks

Apologies but some would say its not a reasonable question. Equipotential bonding requirements are clearly stated in the OSG and the BGB - which I'm sure you must have. If there is bonding in place which is a smaller diameter there are minor exceptions.

We may live in the google age BUT this forum is to share and contribute, there are too many people here "on the take" which isn't cricket.

thanks
