guys,

If your installing a new circuit into a board and find your gas is bonded but your water isn't can you run a cable from the main stop cock to a local socket to bring the reading down, or does it have to go back to the board

reading was on the water not gas

If you can't physically see the bond to the Water, your best bet is to put an earth clamp within 600mm of the main stop cock and run 10mm back to the main earth terminal. It maybe that it is currently earthing through boiler pipework.
