currently working in domestic and commercial and everyday coming home with dead hands im only 19 dont fancy that the rest of my life. any ideas on easy jobs i can integrate electrical with? pat testing seems ok but people always ask for the c&g qual "i did a post about this" any ideas fellas!

reason im moaning a bit is im on 50 to 80 pound a day and i work 12,15 hours a day and have maybe 45 mins break in total. Im getting offered computer jobs that are 7 hours work a day and you can make 90 but i hate computers been on them to much and would rather use my qualifacations to something abit better just at the moment

just anoyyes me people making more money then me that do jack ****. does anyone get what i mean?

once i can drive and get a van il be sound as but still....insurance for a van at 19

Say what now ? I don't think the problem is your profession....it's your boss ! You do realise that's below minimum wage don't you ? What hourly rate are you supposed to be employed on ?

i payed for the 17th edition out my own money. il be doing the testing 2394 2395 in jan all out my own pockets. i wouldnt mind being on 70 - 80 its just like for example 50 quid a day in the van for half 7 get back home half 6 or 9 ish

You are worth a lot more than the rate you are on then. Find a decent boss that pays a decent wage and you might find yourself actually enjoying your profession. Sounds like you are being totally taken advantage of where you are mate.

methinks your boss is having your pants down. time to look for another job. sign up to indeed for daily job alerts by email in your area.

Yep the hands stop hurting when you have more beer tokens in your hand at the end of the week. I also hated chasing engineering brick and anything that didn't just fall off the wall haha. But you should get used to it and if there is a problem at the end of the day then you should go and get your wrists/arms ect checked. I ended up with carpel tunnel syndrome - which seems to effect sparks quite a lot. It's pain killers or small op and everything is fine again. Also maybe get something to strengthen your hands/arms and wrists. There are lots of stuff on the market these days that can help build those muscles up a bit.

Sounds like your boss is doing you over there, however none of us know how you perform, for all we know you might only be worth 70-90 per day.

When i was 19 i only got £132 per week, i had a van supplied and was carrying out jobs of my own accord, but i knew my place, i knew i wasn't qualified and one day would be all worth it so grafted on which has got me where i am today

The moral of the story is don't expect the big bucks all at once it comes with time and hard graft, and don't be afraid to speak up for your self if you think your being buggered, this is how these people get away with it because too many people now are too afraid to say anything.

PS why have you not got your driving license at 19?

It applies to commercial if it shares the same supply as a dwelling.
