Hi. I want to install electric shower. split the tails, x2 100a henleys.then out into an rcd sub board 40a breaker & 10mm t&e to shower pull then shower. How do I test to make it legal ? (Use of sub board cos I have 1 kicking around with mcb . Main fuseboard is square d split load rcd full none rcd quoted 90quid for rcbo ....I believe I need EIC but tbh Im not sure how to go about it and who should be informed ?

Normally I get my napit friend to test but because of work commitments he cant. All I want to know is can it be certified still if the seal was already broke ?And how much would a qualified person expect roughly to do so?

No comment. Point is, I'm not about to come on here saying "Hey guys, here is how I am planning to break the law, would you like to be an accessory to the crime by advising me how?" nor to respond to someone else doing the same.

Just to bore you witless....Accessories and Abettors Act 1861 (as amended by s.65(4) Criminal Law Act 1977): "Whosoever shall aid, abet, counsel, or procure the commission of any indictable offence, whether the same be an offence at common law or by virtue of any Act passed or to be passed, shall be liable to be tried, indicted, and punished as a principal offender."

misunderstanding the fuse already has no seal? Can it now be legally tested or should I have informed 1st?

I'm not sure what statute or rule actually criminalises tampering with DNO equipment, I'd be interested to know if anyone does off the top of their head?
