not sure yet im going to the job Monday all I know is its a dental surgery, with no rcd protection an any circuit gas is bonded and so is water,,need to check special locations yet as to if its classed as a medical location,, but because its not to current regs either ensure cross bonding is done and use eebads or upgrade to rcbos and its covered but just thinking of cost as thers about 8-9 db's

well I thought your methods of fault protection were eebads if thers no rcd protection,, and ads no rcd protection if its fully contained exept for socket outlet or if its monitored by a competent person

are you Zs readings compliant with BS7671 disconnection times for each circuit? if so you just give the lack of RCD protection a code C3, unless the use of any sockets ( e.g. outdoors ) warrants a code C2, or if there's no supp. bonding in special locations ( also a C2).

its my dads business, I want to do wats right and least costly but it im, see all I usually do is report back recommendations to the office, and they take it from ther but this is a good opportunity for me to delv alittle deaper into the regs and learn something aswell,,eeb earth equipitential bonding,,, lol yes is got it wen u said I I automaticly assumed cross bonding, which because I trained to the 17th and im mainly on new install don't really come across it

Hehe, got you :)
I note you're concerned about cost but have you seen how much those buggers charge?
Probably not because your dad fixes your teeth
