I've got my part p Assessment this morning. 9.30 with Ray Smith Second time in 18months so i'm used to it, setting up another business so i have to give away another £450.00 to prove my worth.

Good Luck, but you've obviously done it before, I have mine Sept 23rd first time, any tips?

Hi quick update,
No non conformancys, said i had great working knoweldge of BS7671.
only thing he snaged is i used led undercab lights in the kitchen and the selv tranformer outgoing cables have to be double insulated, or have a trunking (form of protection against short circuit) even though it's carrying a constant voltage dc current of a safe value it says that all parts in the reg's relate to it. but agreed when i said that was silly!
I put an isolator(switched fused spur) for a free standing hob extractor inside of the unit as requested by customer but says that it should be accessable without having to remove screws etc.. i knew this but he told me the deal anyway.
I'm now part p for my company.

I've just had my elecsa assment two great guys my assesor was being assessed so I felt I was getting my monies worth
so long as you know your way around the books, the tester and the certification side of it you stand on go ground

Guess what they are changing the reg's the new dpc section 522.6 say's it doesnt include selv and pelv, they must have been listening to me!!!

Had my annual assessment this morning, went fine, no problems, he shown me the new proposed regs updates and explained the changes that could happen... Also I was shown the new electrical condition report with the Many pages involved
