ELECSA re-assessment

hi guys I’ve my first assessment a week on Tuesday and am bricking it as I do in any kind of test assessment type of thing

only think I’m missing and finding hard to sort out is a health and safety statement has anyone got a basic one that they could send me and I could change slightly

don't help that I’m dyslexic either

hope someone can help me out

You don't need one officially unless you have 5 or more employees.. However, there is one in your pack.. That's all i used

iv'e got certs 2 jobs one is a mains change and others an extra socket cal cert for teat kit PLI its payed for

iv'e rang 3 times for a pack but still not got one i've had my date 2 months

If you've had your date, but no pack you need to write to them, post or email, requesting the pack or else you are setting yourself up to fail.

Have to agree it doesn't seem to work as quick as when I first joined,not exactly 12months to the date so to speak,suspect that when I first joined they didn't have so many members as they do now and been with them a few years now.
Just to go off subject slightly have any fellow Elecsa members joined the ECA thro their "Deemed to Satisfy" scheme?

I was thinking of joning the ECA through the deemed to satisy scheme I noticed it when i was browsing

I had my annual assessment in nov and this was over a month late
they are very busy I dont think i would have had it then either but i phoned like you i was worried that they may visit without letting me know when it was as they had already taken the money on the due date
but at least its given me a extra month lol of not paying there scam fees

A mate of mine was due in November, he's paid but not had an assessment date either

I now have a date. Just been notified that my assessment is in the middle of February. Suits me fine. The card I had from ELECSA runs out at the end of February (although I haven't looked at it recently and wouldn't have noticed if it expired).

Regs book
On site guide
Certificates of qualifications
If you go on elecsa.co.uk, there is a section which tells you what you need I believe


Test Certs of jobs
Show a bit of a business set up (not essential as your new)
They'll ask some general questions.. Max readings for zs on different circuits, max rcd tripping times, general stuff really.
Ask about building regs.. Part p basically, what stuff relates to us. Heights of sockets etc

I've been in correspondents with them recently, always promptly relied to me. Is that the case for you, but you've just not received your pack?

Anyone know if ELECSA have caught up with their domestic installer assessments now?

My assessment is due in Nov/Dec. Last year I got a date in Feb, which was cancelled, and I think I ended up doing the assessment in April!

Just wondering if they've caught up, nearly caught up, or are still running a number of months behind.
