Electricfix price promise

Was in electricfix this morning and commented about B&Q Tradepoint selling NWS VDE cutter and plier set for £10 instead of £42, they noted it down and said about their price promise, they just phone said store to verify, tradepoint had no visible stock but computer said 6.
Anything locally in stock cheaper they will match, so I have got a spare set for a tenner + VAT!!

I was sent my new trade point card, I thought it was junk mail, cut it up and shredded the letter!

Then next day get BQ letter explaining it all.....Der too late......now struggling to get replacement!

just say something happened and can you get a repalcement, they must get it all the time and its only a card

you could have saved your self few extar quid by going in to B&Q as there set includes VAT!

Is this tradepoint idea actually any good then. Do they hold better stock than B&Q stores?

Trade point allows you to get materials cheaper than going through the B&Q tills, thay have a book just like screwfix and order codes etc, some of the bigger items you pick yourself from the main store, smaller stuff they go get. But they do have offers like the cutter pliers set for a tenner rather than £42.
Oh and you get served much quicker!
