Can you help?

Electricians Forums needs a few extra Electrician Mentors for our training courses area.

Need to be super experienced and qualified. It's an unpaid role (as all roles are here!) But you get a badge and are helping younger people (or career change people) to get into the trades.

There will be another training boom soon once houses start getting built quick again. And that often comes with grants for training companies so expect the dodgy ones to already be filing for possible grants and lobbying etc. So we will all need to be trying spot the names of them now we can keep their bad feedback online forever. We were vulnerable when hosted on a .uk domain in the UK years back. We aren't now so they need be careful. We are always watching.

But the role itself is just to help trainees get through segments of various quals and top ups. We don't provide answers and Lucien (RIP) and others used to make mock tests to help guide people to ask the correct questions and help them solve their problems on their own but with support.

If anybody is interested please let me know by replying to this thread.

If we had a fair few Mentors I could make a Mentors only forum where you could all discuss tactics and create mock tests or whatever between you. Perhaps we've been missing a bit of that. Maybe that could help Mentors help trainees. Opinions?

I'll blast this out to everyone with 1000+ posts as I assume by then they're super qualified lol so apologies if you've clicked everything you can find to disable emails and still get it. It's going to be quite an important unique thing soon as I'm expecting a bit of a boost in trainees soon.

Ive just redone my 18th.... so if i can still get access to the mock exams, i might be able to download the Q and A's....

of course, ill reword it all quite a bit... copyright and all that.

That'd be a great help mate. You could attempt to use chat gpt. Instruct it to rewrite the following and paste the lot in and 50% of the time it's not bad. Might be too specific and ruin some questions though so maybe manual approach is wise.
