I agree the USA are no longer a joke of a team, they have some top quality players. However we should be beating teams of there stature. England in my view were poor, one of the poorest performances i have seen in a while. Except for Gerrard, Hesky and Johnson who were good. Our problems were we had no Barry to sit back and componsate for Lamps and Gerrards attacking intentions, which is why they can't play together, that leave us open at the back, which with are defensive injuries at the moment is a massive problem for us esspecially when we come up against top quality oppents who will explout this.

I believe that we would be a better team if we played 4-5-1, lamps and gerrard didn't play together and Rooney up top pn his own with Gerrard just behind.

Another dissapointing display, they look like they can't be arsed. Barry did ok, Gerrard looked better in the second half drifting in from the left, apart from that I think i'd scrap the lot fo the next game, maybe the fringe players would take the chance and put in a decent performance. Oh, and James, thought he had a pretty good game as well.

I,m not biased but they did seem a bit more lively after Defoe was brought on . They need to drop Heskey and

looked better after your substitutions and thought wright philips was a breath of fresh air (i have cringed watchin hesky fall around pitches as long as i can remember), watched highlights though of todays other games and they looked like they were being played X2 the speed! or england were playing in slow motion. the usa first goal today started from a position england players were in many times tonite approaching the goal from the right close in and they always tried to pull it back across the goalmouth whether there was an england player or not, what do the usa do? roof it!! and if the goalie had been in front of it hed have been in the roof of the net also!
somthing needs to change but good luck anyway lads.
