How many forum members have Epson Stylus printers for printing invoices etc.

Just looking at inks and wanted to find out if the compatible inks are reliable or not. Has or does anyone use them?

Dont use epson Ive got a lexmark.Got cheesed off buying cartidges,so I bought some jetpac ink and refilled the cartridges myself.Did that on monday and seems to work well. And Ive got enough ink left to do another three refills I reckon.Hope this helps.

As above go for refill the compatabile cartridges work but as a rule the standard of printing drops lines appear in solid colours and your invoice will end up looking horrible to say the least.

Price wise printers are almost given away so anyone thinking of buying a new printer draw up a short list of what you want then look at the prices of the cartridge refills that will help you decide on the final purchase.

We have an epson and a canon. The epson (dx8500) is a bit slower than the canon, but the price difference in inks more than makes up for it. I use epson every single time. If you get the 'compatible' inks it is even cheaper than refilling and often the same or better quality (depending on who is doing the refilling). Search google for 'hornsea inks' to see what I'm on about. The quality is good - at leats on the ones I've had - I use it for printing flashy adverts and business cards and it is great, more than enough for certificates etc. You can get some dodgy chinese imports which are even cheaper again but will be poor quality, but to be fair those hornsea chaps seem to be pretty good.

So, if you're willing to wait a few seconds more per print batch, I would recommend them.

EDIT: I didn't read the question properly, but meh the information is all there....

I've got a Xerox Phaser 3300MFP Multifunction Printer all in one copier, printer and scanner. They reckon the toner cartridges will last for 4,000 standard coloured print outs, we had a a normal inkjet before got feed up with having to replace the cartridges all the time , in the end it worked out cheaper buying a laser printer and they are faster.

I got the stylus sx405, thought it was great, brilliant at photo's. Then I got some fake inks and it's never been the same since. Even tried to get "genuine" inks offline and guess what ? more fakes came. It's rubbish at photo's now. Definately going to get the real deal next time, in person, from a shop.

i have the epson all in one wireless printer fax copier. its great and the photo quality is good too. a lot has to do with the paper you use in it. decent quality paper shows through with the ink. rubbish paper looks cheap and nasty.
