Hi guys. I have an old out building that has been knocked down and in it’s place an extension is being built. The old out building had a ring and a lighting circuit with water heater for a shower all fed From a ccu that came from the main house through 10mm swa. The extension is now going to be fed from this same ccu. However I want to move the original position of the ccu. Can I extend this SWA? And how??
 
What are those cables in capping above the door? They are not in a safe zone and non-compliant if mains voltage, unless they only come down 150mm..
that's a 9" cinder/concrete block. add the timber ad the drop is about a foot. ( that's 300millipededs for the young sprogs).
 
Hole through wall should have been drilled upwards at an angle from the outside, so that it is more than 50mm deep inside when out of the safe zone.
That SWA looks plenty long enough in the pic. to reach across the floor and up the wall to a CU at the correct height. Are you sure it's not long enough?

Issue is certain sizes of cable may theoretically be okay but upon the proper testing when it’s commissioned things like a thing may not test out...
