Doing a bit of work in a house and only when the heating guys removed a panel of wood did we find where the "end" of the gas equipotential bonding cable went! They have now "inserted" a "t" before the bond so the bonding cable has to be relocated, and the only place to do it is outside in the gas cupboard.

So it needs to be about 1 metre longer - I'm reluctant to have a joint in the soon to be boxed in section, but could easily put a joint in the loft above and note it on the certificate for my work.

Is this OK? and which methods would be best to join the "old" and new?

Reg 526.3 (iv) Joint does not need to be accessible if made with appropriate compression tool
Hi guys I was having and arguement with a friend of mine about this subject, now I was with you crimping a bonding cable was ok but he wasn't convinced, and asked where about in the regs did it say about it? I dont know and was wondering if any of you did so i can finish the arguement lol
