Hi there,

We will need to earth a Faraday cage room in an experimental work, do we need to certify the job?
Can it be only earthed into the plumbing pipes if available (Bonding?)?
If there are no pipes around should we earth it into a mains circuit using a junction box or surface box for example?

Regards,
E.Alen

You need to consult someone who really know about earthing systems and there design.
Yeap. We realised that after reading some comments, it is an unusual job anyway.
We have asked support to our electrical association, which is consulting with a specialist.
For future reference, so far the concensus seem to be, 'earthing the room faraday cage directly into the house earth grid'.
Regards to all.

Let us know how you get on. Is this in a domestic environment then?
