When doing a fixed wiring inspection on and industrial factory is there a code for finding cables disconnected inside the DB?

There might be, depends on how they have been left.

No not me doing the is
Inspection.
I'm a maintenance engineer.
I was asked to remove a machine the other day and when disconnecting from DB I found three sets of SWA tails left inside after being disconnected.
They were taped up with insulation tape but had obviously been there a while as the tape had gone manky.

I have had to do rectification work after previous inspections and it has been mentioned on other DBs.

We seem to have different people doing the inspection now.

This DB was done last October.

Also found six other SWA in the trunking under the DB.

It bugs me a bit.

We seem to have a lot of redundant cable all over the factory.

Asked electrian about them and he said deliberately left incase they were needed for another machine but nobody ever remembers they are there or what size they are so don't get used

Personally, I would just put them in the observations, the inspection schedule is not exhaustive.
