As above you should be competent but this is how it needs to be done

3 reds needs to go together in a separate block, 2 blacks in the “N” and the black tagged red in the “L” all the bare copper cables need have Earth sleeving on and be separated into there own block.

To be honest if I was you I’d get an electrician in to sort it won’t take them long as less headache for you if something goes wrong.

I will probably end up getting an electrician, but seems pretty simple to me. I am guessing they don't need to all be in one block like my old one and I can just have the three loops in one Wago block, the two neutrals in the 2 "N"slots in my Ikea connector, the Live switch in the "L" slot. Then put a sleeve on that lose Earth wire, even though not needing earth for this pendant? So could connect them up.

That will look neater... orrrrrrr can I just copy my old pendant and remove the connector from the IKEA pendant and wrap them round like my last pendant did? Surely the same set up.

I turned all the power off and touched all these wires with no issues, all other lights work. Not sure what the circuit being isolated means but hopefully is ok :)

Sorry if I sound like a noob, my competency is nill.

It is a simple job, a lot of diy's can do it, or ask an electrician to do it paying a few pounds.

I think in your case getting an electrician would be preferable...…………

Tell me you didn't use your fingers to see if it was still live or not.

"Isolated" means as it sounds. The lights have been isolated (removed) from the rest of the electrical system by turning it off at the consumer unit. (not turned off at the room switch, the looped live is still live!)
By saying the other lights still work sounds like you just turned off the room switch.

Don't joke around by saying you touched the wires to see if they were dead. We are professionals who all take safety very seriously.

I turned it off from the mains yes, was safe.

Ok, I will look around but not sure I want to pay ÂŁ50 for something that is probably fairly simple, then again I am most likely wrong. Was what I said not correct or am I speaking alien?
