The qualifying criteria for claiming travel and substance, is that the travel is work related, and is not to your usual place of work.
You can either claim the actual ammounts spent, or use the Benchmark Scale Rates as published by HMRC.
I have found that using the Scale rate for using my personal car, allows me to claim more than 3 times as much as using petrol receipts.
The maximum time HMRC allows someone to claim for traveling to an individual site, is two years.
Work at that site for two years and one day, and you will have to repay any expenses claimed.

So do you claim for 100% of your Mobile Phone bills and home telephone & internet bill?

What amounts do you actually claim for subsistence (whilst working away from home), for laundry of work clothes?

So do you claim for 100% of your Mobile Phone bills and home telephone & internet bill?

Because I run one mobile, one home phone and one internet connection for both business and private use, I claim in each case a fair percentage as a business expense, something like 50%, agreed with my accountant.
