I went through a stage of trying to drink Newcastle Brown once, only for a week or 2, made me ill so went back to the pop :)

Seeing as beer is getting mentioned. This was my friday a month ago. Camra festival in a huge local church. 120 cask beers plus bottled beers ciders and perry. I challenge any "chemical beer" drinker to attend something like this and then go back to drinking swill. Gotta love the proper stuff !

Like it Andy, I work once a year on the Cider bar at a certain South Manchester Beer Fest, which happens to be in a church as well!
Amazing how drunk you get on a Fiver!!!
Should be my fifth time this year, not sure if I'll get asked though this time, after last year's performance................

There's nowt particularly wrong with smooth, like there's nowt really wrong with lard on toast. It just doesn't taste of much and what taste it does have isn't very nice.

When Im out, I drink good old Carling....when Im at home, I drink Echo falls red wine.....I used to drink the JS smooth back when I played pool & doms on a Monday night for my local!!! But it took me years to get rid of the beer GUT!!lol

In an effort to save money due to the tough state of the economy, I decided to try some cheap (59p per 500ml) cans of 6% beer from Home Bargains. Now, on an average night I drink anything from 4-8 cans. I had one of this stuff, I decided it was absolutely vile. Being a typical Yorkshireman however, I decided to persevere with it as I had spent good money on it. I managed to sink two more then went to bed. At approx 3am I woke up with the distinct feeling that I was imminently going to puke up. I made it to the bathroom and the stuff projectile vomited itself out of my mouth, and particularly unpleasantly, out of my nose.

Needless to say, and this is most unlike me, the remaining cans were poured down the drain.

The moral of the story is that you get what you pay for!
