2 men to change a domestic DB is a rip off
2 men to change a domestic DB is a rip off
I've done quite a few that have required a second pair of hands on the job. It's not the usual for me I must say though.
OP did say it was just a domestic, i would struggle to justify a 2nd man.
You are paying too much for your materials and since when has changing a ccu been a two man job? What does the 2nd bloke do?
Edit; Also a full day??
I am being a bit disingenuous.
Firstly - I don't do domestic.
Secondly - I would only install premium manufacturers.
Lastly - I do not send anyone out alone for safety reasons and all quoted works are quoted as at least one days work.
I know this is silly to most hence I said I was being disingenuous.
That's some going, surely you don't mean with full and proper testing in that timescale ?!
£300? Do you eat fresh air for breakfast, dinner and tea and live in a cardboard box??
Get real, you’ll spend that much on materials of yours fitting anything halfway decent!
£200 for a days work? He’s supposed to be an electrician not a bin-man/tramp!!
£300 would be typical if I've done a recent EICR and there are no other issues other than a lack of RCD protection. £500 would be typical if I have to do an EICR prior a board upgrade. Obviously the price would be higher still if issues were discovered during the EICR and taken into account as additional work, or if RCBOs were being installed.
Exactly, £200 for a day is a mickey-taking exercise.
