we are not disputing your skills at all. just that there is a huge difference between wiring up a CU to a new install and replacing a 40 year old board and bringing the installation up to an acceptable standard.

Oh i know, i was simply just posting a few more photos for that jumped up kent who hadnt bothered to read the thread then accuse me of stealing the photos from the net

I can still do that same neatness in the same time on a old board, this thread is boring me now

I think this thread is going nowhere.
I wouldn't charge less than £150, plus materials to replace a CU.
Vernam616 will do it for £150 including materials, then charge £12 per hour sorting out any faults.
Someone else will charge £300-£400.
We're all different, we all charge what we like.

that's more like it. at that sort of price you can afford to spend all day on the tools/test gear and a couple of hours at home doing the cert/paperwork.

[ElectriciansForums.net] Fuse box installed for £150 what!!!Heres How it should be done! Old photo of 16th edition Board from a small development I did in 2005.

I Think £150 is way too cheap!
I Charge between £ 350 & £ 400 plus Vat per board change, If the bonding is done then bonus, its swings and round abouts really, I do 2-3 a week, some can take a 3 hours and some can take all day.
At the end of the day most of the lads on this forum work for them selves including me, and we do it for more money and better life style.
Heating enginners can change a boiler in a day and earn a grand, why should we be any diffrent.

All the slack on the lives tucks away behind the din rail and a bring a neat loop up, i personally wouldnt do it like that

But each to their own, looks good all the same
