Rewireable fuses are a complete and utter hazard.
Whether the fuse boxes are mounted horizontally or virtically is irillivant, they need replacing as soon as possible.

Really, ...whys that then?? Going by that statement we should be feeling extremely lucky to still be alive. It's hard to believe that rewireables have been the mainstay of circuit protection since the electrical industries conception, and are Still recognised as a suitable final circuit protection method by BS7671

Yes they are what we used to call ''course'' protection compared with HRC fuse and MCB/MCCB's ''close'' protection, but they sure weren't and aren't a ''Utter Hazard'' in any shape or form!! They are what they are, an older technology that worked and served it's purpose over all those years.

E54, it's Friday night....Daft night!

Still switched on i'm afraid, been working ghosters and semi ghosters while the local power supply company have been pulling in the MV cable rings and radials. Just come back to the office to get some hot coffee and get out of the rain for a bit!! lol!! Nearly 9am here, another hour or so and i'm off home. Perhaps have a daft Saturday morning instead !! lol!!

You're 10 or so hours ahead (or is it behind!) of us.
Gets confusing now and again.
I'm fooking freezing over here in Manc, waiting on parts to arrive so I can get my Wood burner installed this week.

It's 8 hours in front, same as Hong Kong, which is just a short ferry ride away!!

Well it's not exactly cold over here at the moment (around 19/20c) but it's Wet, had nothing but on and off rain for the last fortnight or so. so the site is like a quagmire of mud in many places!! lol!! Definitely a welly boot site right now!!

The electricity doesn't fall out of Australian boards because they generate it the other way up over there to compensate for being upside down, ie negative half of the sine wave first, which causes the electricity to naturally want to flow uphill instead of down, like it does over here. Don't you lot know anything?

They hop because they need to get to the power currents which are high up in the air, otherwise they'd have to operate with the low power closer to the ground and they'd barely be able to crawl.

That's why we don't have kangaroos in the northern hemisphere: because our highest power of electricity is on the ground, because our flows naturally downwards. That's why mice run so fast, and cows don't.
