I have been asked to install some lighting in a garden and onto a parking area. The person wants the lights to come on via sensors when she walks out of different parts of the building and also at the bottom of the garden where the parking area is. The best way I can do it is to have a PIR covering each of the 2 doors, 1 covering the parking area and 1 covering the garden area. As I will be using three 500 watt halogen flood lights I cant get big enough wattage PIR's. The only way I can think of doing it is with a relay. I have never had to use one of these anywhere so can anyone tell me if this is the best way and if so what sort of relay would I need ?

Hope you can help
Regards
Paul

electric ctr stock them mate. i got a pretty good price on it. think they were £9 a pir. no cable to run just two screws to fasten up :D 5 mins and jobs done. also the switches are rf as well and can get a remote for them. which in my front garden is ideal as we get a load of cats in and out so if it were pir in the front it would never be off.
