Asked for a favour-Wire a graden shed. Can anyone give me some advise....
There is an external junction box on the house with armoured cable 10-12 mm 2 core I think? This is going into the shed at a height of 12 feet ?Once in I will attach and RCD 30mA then off to a junction box to spur off to skt and light.
Question?Does this look okay???Is there anything I am missing for the job?Do I need any special connectors for armoured cable into RCD.
Just getting back on the tools after a while and would appreciate any advice please keep this simple...

Thanks in advance

my 1st question is, are you sparky? and i am not being disrespectful or anything of that nature, however for someone to suggest a 10-12mm 2core,it just sounds a bit funky.
also is there any other services in shed?

Danny

The girl can not find anyone to do the job and the information was asfter a quick visit tonight.I was going to ask another spark to check it over who has the relevant domestic installers certificates.Yes I am a spark and as I said in the post have been out of thetrade for sometime.

Unless you know this other spark and he knows the quality of your work and trusts you implicitly I think you'll struggle to get it signed off and notified mate

I know you are not being disrespectful? However I am just putting it out with the info I could get after a brief visit. It may sound a bit funky whatever that means but the overall cable dia looked about 10-12?All she wants is a socket and light.Perhaps it should be taken from consumer board on the RCD that way but cable already there?Only looking for advice..

Best get the advice and quote after an inspection by a qualified electrician.
To give advice without seeing the job could result in danger to you or others!

Your right csa and not diameters that was the overall size as I saw it.Dropped out of the trade because there was no work mate. However tigerpaul I would still like to know how you would advise to do the job?
