Hi all

When testing a system after an alteration it is found that the gas and water is not bonded. Can a test cert be issued with a note that the work must be carried out or should the gas and water be bonded before a cert can be issued.

Thanks

You should have checked before hand and if gas and water are required to be bonded and if they are not then you cannot do your work without ensuring the bonding complies, you will have to do this off your own back now as you can't turn around to the customer and tell them its needed at extra cost... you should have informed them prior and quoted for it. You can't issue your cert without the bonding been corrected in this case

Take this as a learning curve and hopefully the Gas/Water are easily bonded .... i bet you won't make the same mistake again!

If i was getting any crumpet myself i'd also be slow off the mark on here... as she get annoyed when i dont put the laptop aside :ihih: apparently its ignorant!

1. explain to the customer, if they will get it then upgrade bonding
2. if they dont get it dont tick the boxes for gas/water on the cert, write your concerns in the departures box, wear a cowboy hat if you wish, remember to check it in the future.
