Hi All

After some advice please.

I am working on a block of flats and wanted to check that the earthing arrangements to the Gas supply is suffiecient.

The 5 Gas meters are all outside in those nice plasctics boxes they now use.

They are all in a line and the earth is looped in and out of each one, with the last box being linked to the main earth block.

Is this ok or as I would have done should they be run indivdually.
thanks
Mark

Is this a converted house into 5 flats??

Anyway, to my mind if these are designated as separate dwellings, then the services (Gas & Water) should be bonded as those services enter the flat or apartment. In other words each flat should be taken as a separate installation. If you check your on OSG's (or whatever they are called) it will confirm the above with i believe some nice illustrations....

This subject always causes confusion and debate, Engineer 54 is correct, but, the way the op has described his findings seems to be the way new builds are done.
