I'm looking for some new gel knee pads. The ones I've got are OK for about 30 minutes then the straps start to dig in and get uncomfortable, as I'm now on my knees most of the day I think it's time to invest.

Any recommendations?

I have them and threw the pads away as I didn't like them... :)

A mate of mine who hates the trouser pads, as you do, swears by Nailers swivel knee pads, he says they have memory foam support in addition to the usual plain gel and that they are comfortable. I think he got them from Screwfix.

snickers are not great, but i can reccomend the cheapo dickies ones they are nice and spongy.
wouldn't bother with strap on pads, used them in the army whilst leopard crawling around a training area and they were bloody awful, and when i left and discovered trousers with knee pad pockets in already i thought "do the storemen in the army know these exist or what?"

I remember seeing some that had longer bits above and below the knees to bring the straps to a more comfortable position but I can't remember where!!!

Not too bad when working on indoor sites, only the odd cable tie to kneel on but streetworks have lots of small stones and broken glass around them.

They fit snickers, Dewalt & scruffs. Take a little to get used to when driving & are a little heavy but my god there good. You can smash down on your knees & it feels like air. Trust me, there good & well worth the money. I've had mine 2 years now & look no different to the day I got them
