Discuss Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :) in the The Electrical Exchange area at ElectriciansForums.net

We have this thread on TilersForums.com and it's just been restarted because the old thread had 20,000 replies and 500,000 views. And there were 700 pages. Started to lag a bit on slow connections.

I think we had a bash of this before, but I can't find the thread, so thought I'd start another one off.

If you have time in the mornings, come post in the thread before you head off to work, let us know what you've got on and what the weather is like in your area etc. Anything at all is fine. :)

Posts and likes get counted towards your total stats in this thread.

So GOOOD MORNING PEOPLE - WEATHER IS NICE TODAY IN STOKE. I'M THANKFUL IT'S FRIDAY, HAD A RUBBISH WEEK. THANK GOD IT'S OVER.

Even I haven't sank to Love Island level yet!! Although I did read Joey Essex is in it for some bizzare reason. On the other hand I got excited yesterday because a new series of 90 day finace uk has started!

There was mention of this today on the BBC news website.

I feel just as embarrassed admitting that I read BBC news as I would be admitting to watching Love Island.

Ok so who watched the debate last night? What did you think of it??

I only watched because my girlfriend wanted to and I have no intention of voting for anyone. It was the usual playground taunting and arguing and Julie Etchingham did well to keep them in check but overall I think Sunak came out ahead.

Politics in the UK & Ireland seems to have descended into farce - several parties all offering basically the same policies, many of which fall into the category of specialist interest and certainly not what I imagine a lot of voters find interesting. Hard to believe this was accidental and, as such, I have no notion of watching politicians argue pretty much the same points.

At least Corbyn or Johnson offered something to engage voters, whereas the current likely candidates are about as entertaining as I imagine plucking hairs from one's pubic region to be.

Oh well, even on holiday the jobs keep coming in...my morning is already mapped out.
My friends have an outside light which I fixed 2 years ago...Wiska box and Wagos sorted it, so I know it's just a crap fitting, thus I picked up new one today and it will be a simple swap-out...
but the rub is...they are having a BBQ on their terrace in the evening...nothing special, just a leg of local lamb and all the trimmings, rosemary from the garden, lamb marinaded in Xoriguer gin and slow cooked with patatas bravas and wild garlic also from their garden...
I am invited to partake! Oh YES! The job will be easy, and the rewards amazing!
I love Spain! I posted this too early for the thread tomorrow, but by tomorrow mornng I will be busy!
THe local lamb is fabulous!
Gambas a la plancha is the starter...and never a word about the cost of the work...we don;t charge for such jobs here we just enjoy !
My wee job yesterday was rewarded with a 3 course meal and much wine...
I'm definitely going to relocate here!

Today is finish the install of the 3rd analyser. Was hoping to have it done yesterday but things went a bit 'breasts skyward'. Got a power cable and a temperature probe to connect then swap the permits over, deisolate and get the commissioning done. Tomorrow will be doing the final commissioning on all 3 and screen shots off the pc for the warranty.

I am learning Spanish on an app called Duolingo. My streak is 639 days and counting! Can't wait to go back to Spain now I can speak it better. Last time I went I had just started to learn.

Just watching the D Day service on TV at the moment whilst doing my work. I guess you could call him my Step-Grandad was in the army and on the beaches that day.

Brilliant app. I have five languages on the go and a streak of 764 or thereabouts.

My limited Spanish was gleaned via a full set of CDs by Michel Tomas. I loaded my car autochanger with the CDs and listened on my daily 1 hour 15 minute each way commute to work. I liked his style, but he's not to everyone's taste. Sadly, he is now deceased but his work in the War years made him quite famous.

I believe duolingo is a very good system too. My friend's daughter likes it very much and loves to acheive the targets. Her Spanish is pretty good, given she's only 8 years old and has no Spanish lessons at her school!
