Well done! You should be especially chuffed in current employment situation. Nice to hear that persistence does pay off. Expect to get at lot of menial tasks and dirty jobs, it's part of test to see if your cut-out to be an electrician, stick with it and slowly you will earn the trust of your fellow sparks and the better and more interesting work will follow.:)
The best advice I was given starting out was ask questions whilst your an apprentice, because when your qualified you'll be expected to know the answers.:)

or facebooking ect ect best turn phone off and check it at T time or lunch
Well done getting an apprentice ship and with a company who appear to be moving in the upwards direction
I think there is a sticky somewhere about "Things apprentices should bear in mind" Like phone advice Advice on what you will be doing ie clearing up Do any task to the best of your abilities and safely ASK the Stupid question your thinking as its better to ask stoopid questions than jump in and make stoopid mistakes
Good Luck n above all ENJOY

Congratulations, learning the trade via an apprenticeship will give you an excellent grounding for your chosen career and you'll be learning from the experenced sparks every day.

At a time when so many under 25's are out of work you've got a great opportunity - don't squander it!

Well done!
Your not going to be as green as a 16 year old, but you’ll still get the old hands trying to pull tricks on you. (It’s traditional, it just has to be done). Just take it in your stride. If you’re like me you’ll learn to turn the tables on the pranksters.

20mm conduit inside 25mm conduit was my personal favourite that I was victim of, With a sparks there saying 'come on son you can do better then that you wimp' as I nearly brake the poor old hilmor!

Won't say anymore, i'm sure you'll find out soon, its all part of an apprenticeship!

Well done mate, Good luck.
