Hi,

where is the best place to get guidance note 3, is there a downloadable version or is it only availible in a hard copy?

going to start swatting up ready for 2391

Thanks
Rob

i called them i will be booked onto the june exams, not sure what will happen when i fail it, hope they keep allowing resits

You will fail it with an attitude like that mate.

Get some revision in with the GN3, take the bull by the horns, and get the bloody thing passed. You must be more than capable or you wouldn't have done it in the first place.

As far as I can remember the 2391 is an open book exam, however I doubt if they will allow and electronic version of the GN3 in the exam

good luck

it was a tough one when I did it 8 years ago

We have been told no books are allowed but as you will see from my other thread that could be cobblers. If anyone can confirm it's open book you will have a friend for life. :D

C&G have not yet published details relating to the practical test for the new 2394 2395 and have not yet introduced these as a replacement yet although they are saying it will be this April or so

Centres are still running the 2391 and will do until end of June this year at present. If you are registered on this course then you will be allowed to finish It will only close for new registrations and then run for a period to get all resits etc through is possible for them to pass

If you have completed and passed the practical, you still have couple of chances to sit the written, but you will have to be quick, as come the end of July the 2391 will be no more. You may still find somewhere that is running the 2391 full course, but they will be few and far between.

Cheers........Howard

the exam is deffo closed book and is all about testing your knowledge on Inspection and testing learn GN3 backwards everything on the relevent certs and forms as everything on them relates to whats in GN3
GS38
part 6 and 7 regs
memorandum of guidance on the elecy at work regs
practice writing out all test procedures in bullet points
with diagrams and calcs also
practice loads of calculations
EXAM SUCCESS is useful as it shows how they want it answered
STUDY , STUDY, STUDY
GN3 is your new best friend take him everywhere lol
