Energiser.....£8 from the big orange shed. It has the option of a red light output on it aswell as boring old white.:D
 
All depends how much your using it but if its just for the odd db in a riser a b and q job is fine! my energizer as also got that locking device martyspark lol!
 
Screwfix £13. Taken dogs abuse for about a year now and only changed the batteries once. Can't remember the last time the site light came out of the garage.

sick of buying the cheap ones and really hate having to keep pressing button to stop it flashing useless feature,

Need a head torch. Are the more expensive ones (e.g. Petzl) worth it, or should I go for a £5 from HK off ebay? Though some of them look a bit unwieldy. Advice on type / number of leds / battery consumption please.

I've had a few cheap ones but didn't really get on with them. Splashed out a bit on a petzl tikka plus, bright as a beacon, battery lasts well and is bombproof, use it everyday.
