My immersion heater wall switch gets hot when switched on. Water heats OK but switch gets hot. So, until I know what is causing this, I obviously don't use it. Any advice most welcome pls!

Forgot to add that last bit on my post, good call Tela number of possibilities
1. it may be normal to get warm in use.
2. may be a poor connection or a tired out switch.
you need an electrician to visit to establish what it is and rectify if necessary.
a few of us local to manchester. one of us may be able to help.
leave switched off until sorted.
estimate if it were me would be £65, including a test of the circuit to ensure there were no other faults. Many thanks to all of you for your quick response! I will get an electrician in to look at it. Just wanted to clarify that it is probably the switch that is the problem. It will remain strictly in the "off" position until resolved! Very much appreciate your advice - thank you.
