Hi,

In my bedroom I have an internet / phone line plug on the wall (what ever it's called - the one where you plug in your internet router or phone line to get connected)

It's not a 'live' socket anymore and I am wanting to know how much it would cost to have a sparky come over and make it live so I can use it for either internet use or phone line?

I live in a bungalow so if the sparky needs to re-wire then it wont be too much of a job or expensive (hopefully) but all comments are appreciated

I live in Nottingham so anyone around this area feel free to give me a quote (if possible on line)

Cheers, Charlie

Tread carefully. He maybe a naughty 14 year old who's parents have removed the connection because of his obsession with being online :bigcry:
... Or if the 1990 in his username is his year of birth he might be about 22 and old enough to know better.

So yes it might just be a case of re-terminating a couple of wires or it might involve running a new feed.
When I worked at NTL we used to charge ÂŁ75 for that and you might have to wait a couple of months for someone to come and clip a bit of cable to the skirting board.
A sparky would probably do it cheaper, quicker and neater.
