from the cu take a brown, blue and cpc st91x upto your bulk head
take a twin down the tube through the cu and in to your first switch
in the bulk headjoin the blue single to newtral to thenewtral point
conect the brown single to the brown on the twin (think the code is 6242y)
both the earth on the twin and the single to your earthpoint
now the blue on the twin with brown marker sleeving sleave it up and place this in to the lamp holder as this is your switch wire
lamp sorted now the first 2 way switch
in the first on there will be a twin in and a 3 core out with the brown this goes in common as is your feed
now in your 3 core the brown can go in l1 the black goes in l2 but remember to brown marker sleave it and the grey brown marker sleaved and connected wit a connector block to the blue on the twin(also needs marker sleaving
and cpc on both twins go in to the earth point if no earth point on placky back boxes just fold ends over n put in connectors

2nd swith

you will have 2 3 core cables as this will be an intermediat switch
first of the greys both wont connecting to gether int he back of the box with connector block
the brown in to l1 and the black into l2
on the other 3 core brown in to l3 on the switch and black in to l4
and cpc same again in to connector

on the last switch you will have just 1 3 core this will just be a standord 2 way
the grey goes in to common
brown in to l1 and black in to l2
remember to brownover sleave all cables that are black or grey in the 3 core wen doing lighting

Also srongly disagree. Why are you putting GREY into COM........?

It makes sense, it's just a different way of doing it and not explained very well. Has wired it as you would if you were doing it in singles. :)

I can see what he's done, but still dont know why grey goes into com, using 3 core and earth I have always put brown into com, grey to L1 and Black to L2. That's how I was taught anyway....

same here bright spark. if this is for a college installation then help should be available from the college or training centre if you are unsure.

it looks like the sockets in the original diagram are wired in invisible 2.5
