O

Octopus

As title says, my beloved Metrel developed a fault today.

I called Metrel and yes they will look at it BUT the turn round time is 14 - 21 WORKING days.

So potentially that's a month without a tester, so I need to hire one - so looking for suggestions please!

Thanks

I have a couple of spare metrel mfts doing nothing at the moment. you could borrow one but I would think it would be a bit far for you to travel. If by some chance you are passing by give me a shout. I wouldn't charge you anything just leave me a deposit which you can have back on return.

That's a really generous offer and I appreciate it.

However I rarely travel further than 12 miles from home and I'm guessing that Durham is about 300 miles so the diesel cost would be rather a lot!

I'm fairly sure my mate has bought that..... He's from guildford. He's trying his hardest to find someone to show him the ropes to fit around his current job, Take him out one day a week as experience and I know he'd lend you it!! Lol

UPDATE:

So I called a couple of online retailers and the weekly rate is about ÂŁ70 + carriage.

A mate has a spare unit which currently isn't calibrated, so I'm going to get it calibrated for him, plus get some new leads and we're both happy!

Thanks to all the helpful input!

That is very cool. It would be the end user software that would make that the absolute king.
