That was my argument also, why have a installation with a high ze of around 100 that also wont be very stable and could get worse if ground drys up when we can us a perfectly low ze of the house, he just said that is how he was tought to do it so that is how he is doing it haha also the ze of the spike was 37.6 if I remember correctly so wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but still alot higher than it if we use the house ze
Yeah I told him all this I mean the fault current will be about 6 amp which wont even touch the 16 amp breaker for the raidial sockets and probily wont touch the 6amp breaker for the lights (well not for a few days) and yeah he did put a rcd board in.
He is a totally muppet hes terrible to work for but as there is not many jobs in my area that are not through agency I just have to put up with it as the job is helping me get through my nvq.
Well as long as you keep telling him his wrongs and he signs the work off you've fulfilled your duty of care and passed the book to him. Don't sweat it, get your nvq and go get a job where your input is valued.
