No live or neutral readings on ring. Have earth reading end to end. Can I test where breaks are without removing all accessories?

Join Line and neutral together at the board on both legs and plug in to each socket and find the two highest readings. The break will more than likely be between the two points. Only problem being if there's a few spurs that might throw you off a bit but shouldn't be to much of a problem.

As Lee says. Also I find it can be useful to sketch out the sockets positions as a reference point if it isn't that straight forward. Out of curiosity what was the end to end R2?

OP is from essex. just power up, spray some fake tan on all the sockets. them that stay white will indicate the approximate location of the fault. :rolleyes4: :ack2:
