If you get a TN value which will operate an overcurrent device then I salute you,the end result was worth the effort....if you think 40 ohms is any better than 100 ohms or 200 ohms you are kidding yourself.....

I am not in the habit of kidding myself, or anybody else come to that!!

I told you before, ...but i'll tell you again, it is ''NOT'' uncommon to get TN values from regular TT systems in parts of Essex, and a good few other UK locations!!

I honestly can't understand your stance of consistently encouraging newbies and the like, to just bung a Twig in the ground and you can call it a TT system cause your getting below 200 ohms!!! It isn't and it never will be!! As for stability of that twig, well that's just on a wish and a prayer!!

Give me a stable deep driven 40 ohm Ra rod installation every single day of the week, than any one of your 200 ohm twigs fiasco's...

It was purely an off the top of my head example, but I'd say - accessible live parts C1 - inaccessible live parts C2 - 10 feet up in a locked room...

Good thinking - the other side of that is my garage and also where the gas comes in so probably quite a tidy solution if it comes to it!
