Whats this about radiating voltages and them overlapping ? and what would happen if they did overlap ? Cheers.
 
Gravid basically and i know someone will someone will explain it better is.

when the fault voltage goes into the spice it dissapates in a circle out the way.

If there is 2 rods from different systems both carrying a fault voltage then you want to keep them seperate.

To do this its by distance (1 rod lenght) so that the voltages dont overlap because if they do then they combine so

istead of 2 50v (touch voltage) faults seperate from one another you could get 1 100v fault
