Home extention ideas

Hi All,

Happy new year to all!

I'm due to have an extention built early this year, the extention is a two story side, single story to the rear, including a new patio. The extention will have a kitchen diner, utility, toilet, garage, salon space (wife to work from home) and bedroom ensuit.

I'm starting to think about what to include to future proof, along with any out of the box ideas. With the wealth of experience in the forum I'd appreciate the forums advice.

you forgot the wet bar with hand pulled ales and a row of optics.

If you use hue lamps on any outside lighting then you can use the geolocation on the app so they come on when your a certain distance from the house. I would avoid any fitting that goes in the ground. Under cupboard lighting using LED strip, down lights set 600-700mm/at edge of worktop to avoid shadows. Cupboard door switches on any larder cupboards so lights comes on when you open doors. Instant boiling water tap. Put in an RCBO board.
