Chrishands

Hello all.
I have currently just completed my 1st year 2365 Electrotechnical installations, Level 2. i am about to undertake my Level 3. I will end up with Level 2 Level 3 2365. and something in 17th edition although im not entirely sure what at the moment.

Once completed what am i 'Qualified' to do on my own? Which courses must i complete so that i can self certify my work in both industrial and also domestic installations?

Also is there any more courses advisable to increase my knowledge and competency.

Any help would be appreciated as i haven't yet had a definitive answer.

Thankyou :stooge_curly:

In the JIB eyes your not " qualified " until you finish your NVQ3 and AM2 which is generally done threw an apprenticeship.
Saying that i know loads of time served sparks who dont have the qualifications but can run rings round me due to alot more years on the tools and experience !!!
COMPETENCE is what you need and if you searched the tool bar you would see this one word would have answered your question.
Hope that helps !!

Chrishands my apologies my reply was rather rude, let me try again!
Will you PLEASE wipe my A$$

i have just completed my engineering apprenticeship and have also been working with the electrician at work now for the last couple of years completing industrial works, also doing some electronics, building basic control panels.

If you've done all that, carry on with it.
You've got your foot in the Industrial door. You need your head testing if your thinking of going down the domestic route!
Ask your current employer how you can progress further on this path.

This tester would be perfect for the job.

SORRY BUT I MUST GET MY ANSWER, DEFINITIVELY CRYSTAL CLEAR before i loose my mind!:89:

Away and ask your training provider/college then fella because it's their job to tell you and educate you to a standard high enough to become qualified

also I want NEVER gets didn't your mum teach you that oh and where I come from shouting and making demands gets you a slap

Make tea and biscuits

when I were a boy you had to have sweeping up nailed AND be well on the way with fetching and carrying before you were trusted to do the brews, don't fool him into skipping steps

To the OP,your impatience during a few hours of posting, does not bode well for the long, protracted, deviating and sometimes infuriating path that you seem keen to follow. Demanding a "definative answer" can occasionally be frustrating when it comes back "maybe"...and remember, when some of us were at your stage, demanding ANYTHING from our elders would NOT result in "bad feed-back","a cap in our sorry ---" or "facebook rage"....it would be pugilism, pure and simple...:pirate:

This comes up some much should be list and a sticky
I like to rip the pi** as much as anyone and appreciate a good pi** take post
But there are some members on here that themselves ask tons of basic questions at the beginning and after a bit think they know it all and jump on new members / posts in a unhelpful manner ( see this attitude with apprentices all the time )
Everyone has to start somewhere
I have been doing this for 25 years and I don't know everything - knowledge is power and should be shared

suppose this is the trouble with text, it can easily be interpreted as something its not. if you was to hear me say it you would see it was in no way a demand, but a plead that i muuuuuust get my answer, never mind tho.

Lads can we keep the ripping down, the op is obviously a training student...
OP can you ask direct questions on what you wish to achieve with more detail, and a better attitude.
