Just reading article in PE June edition pg 23 how do the sockets comply I thought when doing a rewire all must be brought up to standard and fall within current regs?

I thought it was "renovating" a property which I have always thought (and was once confirmed by our local building control) meant Major refurbishment. Not just a rewire?

major refurb is usually down to the local BC. some insist on the 450mm - 1200mm height, some don't. personally, i'd fit to the new heights unless the customer specifically wanted otherwise and BC accepted this. IMO, fitting light switches within the reach of small childern is pants,

As I have ready a few times on this forum, the 450mm height only applies to new buildings. For rewire its down to the customer and what is suitable.
If I am wrong people then please correct me...
