hia everyone newbie to the forum but, ive used it for lots of info in the past. So big thanks

i mainly do domestic rewires in council properties (s**t work) just wondered how quick everybody thats into rewires can connect up a cu. i only use crabtree starbreaker. fastest iv done one is 12min 30 thats with 2 rcbo's and 7 mcbs, im not trying to show off just wondering how fast everyone does them. the bord is fixed onto the wall alrady too.

well i just got back from doing a 9 way shneider metal clad all rcbo. Two circuits redundant, two new ones in twin pulled in. Take down old board in a corner above a sink, really awkward, drill new hole in wall bring existing cables through new hole, crimp and extend all existing circuits and terminate. Took me 5 hours not including testing. This was in a large portacabin office.

zak photos 089.jpghere is one i done before, zak photos 104.jpghere is a kitchen i trunked because there were through crimps berried behind tiles and the tenant wanted as little disruption as possible. now where did i leave my horse lol

The price work I was doing a month back was rubbish in terms of price. £25 for CU change, £12.50 per rcbo, per smoke/heat, earth bonding, extra point, move point, upgrade tails. £70 for Rewire bathroom, £145 for kitchen Rewire.£25 Test and 2nd fix last bits/take youzee boxes off. PVC trunking £0.50 a meter
Still take my time with CU about an hour. usually takes 2 sparks 10-12 hour day to do a property. It wears you out and the best We earnt was £312 before tax between 2 of us
Test isn't done the day of CU change.

That's why a lot of the works thrown in, some CU' s others do are absolutely thrown in.

Not referring to the OP just giving a rough idea or prices

Apart from the probability that perhaps things aren't done to the proper standard you have to accept that when you come on making claims like that you're going to get a bit of ribbing mate. We're not smashing you, just poking fun (mostly) at you.
You're right with the Welsh thing but google translate might help :)

Ye shud've written that in Geordie bonny lad. ;)

I used to test the neatest wired consumer units in Wales
They were factory prewired and were much neater than any ever presented on this forum,so there

lol

As for the writing in Welsh.be proud of the language rather than use it as some sort of perceived weapon, please try and make Wales and Welsh people respected rather than ridiculed

I can write in German as well
