How much would you quote...

For the following job: To swap an old fuse board for a new consumer unit including the lowering off three straight conduits coming out of old fuse board as CU is bigger, upgrade the meter tails and main earth. Test the the house (10 circuits). LABOUR ONLY.

Been asked by someone to give a price for it, thought I was there or therabouts but asked two sparks just for another opinion and lets just say their prices varied a fair bit!

Go around and do a IR test before you say how much mate, There could be know end of problems the RCD isnt going to like.
If you get some tidy readings id say £300.

I'd say about £300. Rarely do I do a board change and there not be issues when it comes to testing. The bonding almost always needs sorting too.

Just done one myself for £380 inc in the Leeds area. As stated earlier in thread, do some basic tests before commencing work or write into quote that problems encountered will be repaired at extra charge.

Thanks for the replies guys, very helpful. I'd thought to myself somewhere around the £280-£320 mark so seems about right. One of the other sparks said £200 and the other £320! I'll carry out the test first though as suggested.
