Hey guys......
I am new to this forum.
I looking for a solution since a week but i am not able to get it. I want to switch on & switch off the dol or star delta motor with timer (Please note: here i am not talking about a timer switch which is used to switch the motor from star to delta). I want to make it on/off on preset time or cycle. Your answers are really appreciated. Hope my question is clear.

Thanks in advance.

If the method of starting this Motor is Star/Delta, then in all honesty you shouldn't go faffing around altering the starting sequence.
Can't really understand what you are trying to achieve, do you have any electrical experience? your profile has your experience /qualifications as "industrial Training" ?

Thanks for your reply buddy.

My dear i am working professional as a maintenance manager in 5 star hotel. I want to trigger the on/off push buttons through a timer which can operate the motor on desired time. Like wise i set the timer for 12pm to 2 pm, it turn on & off automatically on that time.
Hope i make it clear now.

Put a 7 day programmable timer on with the times you want it on. The use that as the ‘start button’

Make sure you still have a stop function or EM Stop.

No not clear at all, what does the Motor drive? something hefty if it's S/D

If he was to put a timed switch across the start button
Would it not make the start button try and restart the motor even after perhaps a stop button has been activated(unless it locks out) ?

That is unless the timed switch was delivering only a momentary switched supply ?
I think he needs to be careful of carrying out this task unless absolutely sure of keeping the function safe

Personally I would try and find another solution.
You could do it through a set of relays I'd probably use an 8 pin octagonal relay.

I personally don't like the idea I think your asking for trouble automatically starting this type of equipment with a timer.
Hope you got your risk assessments in place.

Im reluctant to draw it out, but it not particularly hard.
Like I was getting at a a direct online starter also serves the purpose of an Emergency switch.

Anything connected to a direct online starter shouldn't never be able to automatically restart in the event of voltage failure.
Putting a timeclock on this means it could automatically restart any time the timeclock operates completely going against BS7671.

IMOH Your need to do more than just put a timeclock on the control circuit.
