How to remove plaster dust

My word the plasterers left a bit of a mess - the wooden floorboards were caked in plaster dust. I have hoovered up three times and brushed hard but it seems ground in.

How can I remove it? I tried a mop but it made no difference. Is there some sort of chemical I can use?

Or will I need to hire out a floor sander and buff it out? It's the whole house.

Are they pine floorboards or other? I just use a scraper to take off any lumps and mop up a couple of times then go over the floor with a proprietary wood floor cleaner. You would never know there was plaster on it when I am finished. Same with tiles especially quarry tiles, wash off a couple of times, finish with a beeswax polish.
