I would strongly advise that the OP gets a few pictures of the rest of the install. Any sparky capable of doing this is probably capable of even more horrors - that aren't immediately apparent to the customer.

* Assuming the OP hasn't had a sudden induced coronary, still lives in the same house, still has a house. Gulp......

I'm still here! I'm not sure taking pictures would offer much right now, as the whole array is buried under about four inches of snow :)

No contact from the firm yet though...

Will update with any further information, or pictures after the thaw. Thank you all so much for your continued help with opinions.

People are trying to send me messages - I get emails telling me they're trying, but I can only fit two in my box at once!

We can only hope that those horrifying GASHES in those tails were caused by his teeth, and if not, when he/they/she return to rectify this absolute badgers back side of a job, i think you must insist they use their teeth as you hover over the isolator switch grinning just to make them work harder.

Appalling.

Your official recourse is to either the electrician's certifying body or the certifying body of the installer that issued the MCS certificate. - That is their official role. They will NOT cover contractual issues (price / performance), they ARE responsible to cover TECHNICAL issues (installation standards) like this.

And therein lays the crux, the very root of the rot of the entire crock that exists currently. All they will care about is the FEE. Is it coming from this muppet again next year? Yes? Well come on down then.

a truly independant body would execute them with a browning.

I would have to ask if he was actually qualified because it looks like he has just jumped on the PV bandwagon!

@DanB If you want to PM me your spec and also your system name on PVOutput I would be interested to have a look at your output
