Is everyone in the same boat? Scratching around for bits of work etc? Working full on for 2 weeks or so then a couple of days a week for a month? I've only been trading in the recession do I dnt knw the boom times. What I do know if I had a mortgage to pay I'd be out on the street.

You always get the odd lad saying he's "snowed under" etc but it's hard to believe. So how's everyone's luck are we still in crap street or is it just me?

had nothing solid scince sept.
CIS work is patchy
Private work here and there.
got a weeks work booked in for mid feb, nothing till then. at the mo, might go and do my 2391 just for something to do

Don't want to sound like a c""k but we seem to be entering this year with more work for the coming year than we have ever had lined up ?
The agricultural / arable and equestrian side is at a bit of a peek it seems at the moment .
And with milk prices at a 20 year high , i am expecting at least a couple of dairy units to come in .
Not that we try to do much domestic apart from new build and barn conversions but even that side is looking fair at the moment.

I think things are starting to move just got give it a bit of time .

i still think that it will be about 2 years yet before its got going for everyone though....

Suppose if other people are bringing the work in for you ie letting agents etc your likely to be fine. The agents only have one spark in my area and they don't seem to want anyone else's service.

Tried getting in with a few letting agents round here, waste of time, had 3 jobs out of it, all of them turned out to be a bulb need replaceing, not going to cover the cost of my part p renewal changing lightbulbs!!!
