I can't for the life of me work out how to get my probes into the "test ports". What am I missing?

Take the black tip off, if you are using double pole voltage tester? or is it MFT?

Neither my voltage tester nor MFT probes will fit. Obviously I can't possible take the finger guards off because then they won't be GS38 compliant and I'm not a rule breaker...
