Sorry can't see it elsewhere suprised if not here yet !

Been told by Elecsa that it is now compulsory so client has to pay for insurance wether they want to or not (or you can swallow the cost in your profits if you want).

I thought it was illegal to force people to pay for insurance they may not want ? i.e. PPI and extended warranties.

I've had enough of it now and will not be renewing my membership next year why should we have to keep paying for the nanny state.
 
Yes,and most likely the manufacturer and or dealer is authorised to sell extended warranties.
I have taken this up with elecsa but they have not yet replied,i shall let you know what they say if you are interested !
 
It is insurance to the customer that if your "the installer and notifiers" work is not complient or if you go out of business that their notified work will be rectified at no extra cost to themselves. :helmet:

in which case is should be covered in your membership fee, so the customer knows by using a partp registered spark theyre getting everything they need.
just a few more quid for the scams - pleased i gave up membership
