D

David.

hey fellas,

whats this course all about???

BTEC Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation its done through ICS??

Im at college 1 day a week doing a BTEC NC in Electrical/Electronics but this ICS course thing sounds better by been an ADVANCED DIPLOMA etc etc
Am i wasting my time at college doing what im doing should i do this ICS one? Are the prospects the same between the 2 courses like been able to do HNC or more. I just feel i'd be able to do the ICS course a lot quicker than 1 day a week.

If the ICS course is as good as it is then why do you not need very good previous qualifications to do it?? "You must also be educated to at least GCSE standard D-G or hold an NVQ at level 1, or a GNVQ Foundation Certificate"

cheers guys :)

I have done this course, am awaiting my final grade. I wont be getting a certificate though due to a problem with my edexcel registration...... 2 years wasted, but I did gain the knowledge which is the point.

look at these website for help on nortons and thevenin's:

Norton's Theorem : DC NETWORK ANALYSIS

Thevenin's Theorem : DC NETWORK ANALYSIS

i got a distinction in all marked subjects, and my Tutor recon I will get in Electrical Principals as well.

PM me if you need more help.

Hi TS786

Unfortunately I cannot distribute my marked test papers.... I am willing to help or or tell you where to find more resources.

I did spent more time than the allocated 180 hours. I prolly spend 180 hours per module....

Good luck

Yeah I'm doing this course, been doing this since about 14 months ago, but I'm on the last assignment electrical principles, I am stuck on this, my tutor is a waste of time and I aint get no help from ICS either, so if anyone can help me, it will be very much appreciated. If anyone needs any help on the assignments already done, please let me know and I will help. I am even willing to hire a tutor, so if anyone can help please let me know. Email on [email protected].

I can see a worrying trend developing here...hmmmmmmm

Hi,

I'm trying to retrain and am new to these qualifications. But I was interested in what you said about the NVQ. I just wanted to ask about how you go about getting the NVQ Level 3 once you complete this BTEC course? Does it cost anything to do so, or do I have to register somewhere? Have you done this? Will doing this register me as an electrician?
